I do a lot of my Michigan shoots on my family’s farm in North Branch. I love it there, it has more rolling hills, golden wheat fields, beautiful sunsets and old rustic red barns than a photographer could ever ask for…But it means more to me than just amazing backdrops for photography, it brings back sweet memories of where I grew up and of the people I love..and miss. My grandpa Brusie, who is no longer with us, started this farm and he was so proud of it. He always loved sharing it with people and taking us of the infamous “farm tour” to look at the crops. My dad and uncles now run the farm and do an amazing job and keeping it beautiful. So as I was looking around my house, I realize I have no recent photos of MY family on the farm. So a big thank you to my sister Julie Brusie and her assistant, Brent Morehead, for doing a mini session with me and my boys!
